I.F. - Refresh

Here is my entry for this week's theme "refresh" with the thought that this poor kid could use that refreshing water about now! :) It's one I did a while back for an ABC Big Book with a different illustrator for each letter. Mine was T for Tortilla and there was a little verse that went with it about tasty tacos, tortillas, etc, but they were all too hot! Oil on board.

Illustration Friday - Secret

OK, so for my first official artwork posting, since that is why I'm here, I'd like to share my first ever attempt at Illustration Friday. Odd, I know, that I've never participated since I've known about it for years and lurked through others' beautiful artwork... why did I not join in? Not sure but I'm here now and below is my illustration of the "secret" done in pencil with just a tad bit of tweaking digitally. Now the question is, will they go about their business as if nothing has happened or is the cat out of the bag... or is the cat in that sandwich?? Sadly, we might never know...

Well, here I am, venturing into the world of personal blogging! I've been in several critique group blogs over the years but never on my very own... this is interesting territory. Can I handle the pressure? The updates? The comments (or lack there of!)? Will I have anything meaningful to say or share at all?? Only time will tell. Blog post 1 (check).
